ViaVan is by far the cheapest choice for a taxi on demand in Amsterdam. ViaVan, an app which you can download on iPhone and Android, works in a similar way to Uber but with much lower prices. This is possible due to their focus on efficiency; they are best known for the ride-sharing taxi service.

Should you tip taxi drivers in Amsterdam? Similarly to most services in Amsterdam, you're not expected to tip taxi drivers. However, if you are using Uber in the Dutch capital, they do give you the choice to tip your driver if you are particularly happy with the service.
Taxi price from Amsterdam Airport to the city centre
Prices for a transfer from the airport to the city center range from € 35 to approx. € 46.75. In contrast, a metered fare can be as high as € 75. Most people who visit Amsterdam have a visit to the city center on their wishlist.
Uber is great and easy in Amsterdam. There is a flat fee from the airport to the center which is the same as a taxi, Within the city UberBlack is a bit cheaper than a taxi and UberPop is half price.
Taxis from Schiphol
From here, the fares are displayed on their meter. That way, you will never pay too much. In addition, you can make a contactless payment in any taxi. The drivers accept credit cards, are not allowed to refuse rides and will give you a printed receipt.
Uber works pretty well in Amsterdam. There are areas that the drivers cannot pickup, like in the red light / old town area. But the app will tell you where to go. One slight issue with uber, if it is very busy and heading to 2x the usual fare or more, it might be better to get a regular taxi.
