Pop design is a style of art, fashion and architecture that originated in the 1960s. It is characterized by bright colors, bold patterns and smooth lines, emphasizing individuality, fashion and artistry.
We are all aware of POP (Plaster of Paris) as we are using it in our homes for years. It is a combination derived from gypsum, a powdery element that was commonly found across Paris. That's why it is known as Plaster of Paris. I have used POP while designing my home interior.
POP or Plaster of Paris is a commonly used material used to make false ceiling, accent decors and wall trims. POP is a quick-setting white powder made of semi-dehydrated gypsum. This lightweight and heat-resistant material is mixed at the site and makes for a stunning POP design for ceilings.

Disadvantages of Plaster of Paris
Gypsum plaster is not suitable for exterior finish as it is slightly soluble in water. It is more expensive than cement or cement lime plaster. It cannot be used in moist situations. So, if you are living in a humid climate, better not use POP!
To make an ornament and other curvy work on a wall or ceiling, gypsum pop plaster is the best material to use which gives a tremendous finish.
POP ceilings can range between ₹75–120 per square foot, depending on the type of design details.
PVC false ceilings are lightweight, low-cost, and easy to install. They are resistant to moisture, making them suitable for areas with high humidity, such as bathrooms or kitchens. PVC ceilings require minimal maintenance and can be cleaned easily.
