Coraz częściej rozmawiamy o naszych życiowych wyborach i indywidualnym „śladzie węglowym” ale nadal bardzo rzadko o naszym „klimatycznym cieniu”, który ma znacznie większe znaczenie. Nasz klimatyczny cień to między innymi to na kogo głosujemy, gdzie pracujemy, jak inwestujemy nasze pieniądze i w jaki sposób rozmawiamy o przyszłości naszej planety. W niedzielę weźcie proszę udział w wyborach europejskich i wybierzcie tych przedstawicieli którzy rozumieją skalę wyzwań które przed nami stoją i rozumieją wagę polityk europejskich i krajowych w zadbaniu o naszą planetę. Jedyną, którą mamy! 🌍🌱🌈

The $9tn question: how to pay for the green transition ft.comInteresting read about the cost of green transition that we as taxpayers and private sector need to cover. It is estimated that Europe will need to invest €800bn in its energy infrastructure to meet 2030 climate goals, and a total of €2.5tn to complete the green transition by 2050. It is not the question of if (we have no choice) but how. In first place the governments must stop subsidizing fossil fuels and stop spending carbon taxes proceeds to finance general purposes. The investors must truly include the cost of non-action on climate change mitigation in their business assumptions. Those costs will be immense and incomparable to costs of action.

The directive will now be signed and published in the Official Journal of the EU. Will the last few sustainability elements of the Common Agricultural Policy be abolished? No stakeholder consultation was carried out by the European Commission, neither experts nor citizens had anything to say. Is this how the EC wants to convince the Europeans to vote in the European Elections this year? By acting without any democratic mandate? Do we Europeans have anything to say about what we eat and where our taxmoney goes? This really goes too far European Commission! We need public money for public good!
