This Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine just does not do the job. It smells inside and does not get clothes clean, just normal everyday laundry. I usually have to put them through twice. It is supposed to be a water save, but I dont think it uses enough. I use minimal he detergent, yet you can see detergent residue on the clothes after they are washed, I think because there is not enough water running through to rinse clothes very well.

The repair man is on his third repair and I havent had refrigeration for five weeks. In the meantime they wont replace the fridge, and it takes two weeks between scheduled visits by the authorized repair man.

Whirlpool electric range with ceramic cooktop - I have a large black mark on one of the cooktop burners that appears to be beneath the surface of the cooktop. It’s almost within the finish of the burner and unable to be cleaned with cooktop cleaner. I have purchased an extended warranty and arranged for a service call. The repairman came out as scheduled, but informed me after making a phone call to who knows, because he did not tell us that the problem was cosmetic and could not be repaired under warranty. However, if we wanted a replacement cooktop, it would cost almost as much as a new stove. He also said that he had seen many of these ceramic burners with that problem and it was not unusual. All I really want is what is fair, a defect that is not my fault that needs to be replaced. The stove (Whirlpool electric range with ceramic cooktop) was purchased in 2004 and is kept very, very clean.

In May 2010, I purchased a Whirlpool WFW9750WW front load washing machine. In October 2010, the machine started making a strange noise and by December 2010, the machine sounded like a jet airplane. I called Whirlpool warranty and they sent out the appliance doctor. They looked at it and said that the bearings were shot and needed an inner basket, outer basket and one other item. They would order it and come back in a week or so. We were told not to use our machine. Ten days later, I called to check repair status and they said that the items were on back order until late January. I called Whirlpool and after several conversations and going to the second level of supervisor over a week time frame, they finally located the part and shipped it. However, it was not until the end of January 2011 (seven weeks after my call for service) that the part arrived and was installed. The sound was never right after the repair. The appliance doctor came out and told me that all washers are loud. In December 2011, the jet airplane sound returned. I called Whirlpool but I was now out of warranty. Luckily, I bought the extended warranty through Lowes. They sent out Night Owl on February 9th 2012. They diagnosed the same problem with the bearings and said they would order the parts. I called Night Owl on February 17th to check on status and they said that the parts were ordered. I called to check status again today and now the parts are on back order (same as last time) until sometime in March. Night Owl turned claim over to check on getting the machine replaced rather than repaired. I was told that this would be another five days. Its amazing how there are no parts available. I was told the repair cost for this item is over $450 as it takes two repairmen about two to three hours to complete. Issue is still not resolved. I highly recommend not buying a similar washing machine. Whirlpools product, warranty and customer service suck.

I just finished reading multiple complaints that sound very similar to my experience in 2014. I bought a fridge for a rental unit in Oct. 2013. The freezer malfunctioned and froze up in back, 6/2014. Had multiple repairs with the problem going unfixed. After a couple of months with my renter without a fridge and laborious system requiring multiple phone calls on my part to get an exchange approved. The exchange went thru. It was delivered the am of Sept 11. Guess what? It was dented on the side. The delivery personnel thought is was prior reject and it was an attempt to get me to accept it as is with a small cost reduction off the original purchase price. NO thank you! So still no fridge from Whirlpool as of 9/13/14 that is functioning from Whirlpool and yet to have a call back from Whirlpool regarding the mishap. No apology, no remorse, just the way they do business. I will say that my local HOME DEPOT was willing to send me a loaner fridge for my renter for his garage. NOT ideal but better than nothing and quite nice of them and an example of what customer service should be! Thank You HOME DEPOT! SHAME ON WHIRLPOOL! Not sure how this will end but obviously is common them after reading the reviews. I am now concerned if they do replace it again with an undamaged fridge it will repeat the same dysfunction pattern and I will have to go this painful process all over again! EEEEK. Refrig WRT771REYBOO, VS33469859 BTW I had to pay for spoilage of food for my rent on multiple occasions because the repairs work for a week or so and my renter would stock up the fridge and it would go out and he would lose food. Whirlpool gave me a 50 food spoilage card after much complaining bc go figure the warranty does not cover food spoilage but apparently the extended does. Go figure?

About 5 years ago, a tenant at our home reported a gas leak and the propane company determined that the Whirlpool range was at fault. The dealer in Albuquerque repaired the leak, by replacing all the valves at a cost of $470. A week ago, after a propane fill, once again, at least one valve was found to be leaking. Apparently, Whirlpool does not know how to make a valve that holds up over time. Over a 7 year period, I paid almost double the cost of the stove, only having to replace it at 12 years. These stoves are DANGEROUS! I will not purchase another Whirlpool product for the rest of my life.

Whirlpool employees must be doing their laundry very sparingly if they think that this would not put a strain on a household. But I was willing to wait. I asked the date and they wouldnt give it to me. A week later they called with the date and I asked the time. Again they wouldnt give it to me. However they said they would give me the time the night before. They then called with the time, which was during work hours. I told them I would be unable to do this during work hours and they gave me the only other optional date, also during work hours. I finally agreed and took a 1/2 personal day. When I arrived home. I received a phone call from Whirlpool that they will not be delivering my washer/dryer unit at all and to pick a different date. I canceled altogether.UPDATED ON 02/24/2016: I have worked hard to not get upset at companies. However I feel that this is an especially poor company and I cant remain silent anymore. I bought a Duet Washer and dryer over the phone with Whirlpool. It took 3.5 weeks for it to get delivered because Whirlpool kept cancelling. Each time, I took a 1/2 personal day so that I could meet the delivery people within their 4-hour window frame. On the 3rd attempt, they were finally delivered and set up by the delivery men.During the 2nd time I ever used the product, it stopped working, making a horrible grinding noise. I had to unplug the machine. My husband came home and hes pretty handy. However he was unable to even press 1 button. I had a friend in the repair business come the next day and he was unable to repair it. I called Whirlpool again and they said theyd have a repairman out the next day. They outsourced the job to a local company and Whirlpool sent me a confirmation email with a time and date. Again I took a 1/2 personal day. After hearing from no one, I called the repair company. They said they had no record of me in the system. I cried.I called Whirlpool and was put on hold for 3 hours. I hung up and called again. They said my department closed 8 minutes ago and they couldnt take my call. I asked how that could happen considering you began the call 3 hours before that time and would have stayed on hold until I died had I not decided to hang up and try again. Every time previous to this I had been on hold for a minimum of 1 hour.I have been trying to return the product. They tell me that Im unable to because my product is functional. I told them it was in fact not functional, which was about the 3rd time I said this, and they said Ill have to call back 1st thing in the morning. I told them I cant risk any more work time to deal with this poor company. So they put me on hold again and thats where I remain. I am currently going on 27 minutes.

After a few months, it started making a terrible clanging noise. My husband was able to repair and it ran okay for a while. Over a few months, it got louder and louder. It does not get our clothes completely clean. Some even come out dry on one side. Now, we are getting an F50 code and it shuts down after 1 minute. After reading the reviews, I agree Cabrio is a bad product. What happened to the trustworthy, best value Whirlpool name?

We bought all Whirlpool Gold Appliances when we re-did our kitchen 5 years ago -- fridge, d. washer, oven, glass top stove, and microwave. Recently I noticed a pool of water in front of the fridge. Turns out there is a sticky grommet problem that prevents moisture from draining into a pan on the inside back bottom of the fridge. Whirlpool will send you a replacement part that is totally different than the original poor design (a long hose affair) BUT wont pay for the labor to put it in unless the unit is less than 2 years old.I watched a video showing how to do it, but it looks pretty tricky and involved plus risky because you can break the drain pan in the process. Spoke with a Whirlpool rep and a supervisor -- both admitted to a quality problem but got nowhere on the labor. Theyre sending the part, and the supervisors supervisor is supposed to give me a call, so well see if they eventually do the right thing and cover the labor. I mean cmon... the parts obvious a bad design, or they wouldnt be sending a totally redesigned part! Covering the labor only if its two years old or less? Even the Whirlpool techs online are saying the problem happens after about 4 years! The grommet gets sticky and wont drain due to heat from the compressor, and that takes time to happen. Ill update this when I hear back from Whirlpool.

Since March we have had ongoing cooling problems with 5 service calls and 4 different fixes and unit still doesnt work. Local authorized service company, Fields, in Jacksonville FL is incompetent. Whirlpool doesnt return calls. The products value is not consistent with the high cost. Here are the gory details. Ref: Setzers, Jacksonville FL (sold unit). Fields Jacksonville FL (factory authorized service company).Less than 1 year in, it began to rust. We called for a Warranty check. Fields Appliance (their factory authorized service company) came out and agreed all 5 doors needed to be replaced. A month rocked on, finally we called to find out where the doors were, and were told Whirlpool (Makers of Kitchenaid) denied the claim. Citing that we lived near the coast! Well, our other appliances arent rusting and the refrigerator doesnt sit outside! They sent us a 6 oz bottle of rust cleaner. A few months later, this refrigerator stops cooling! This was in March, 3 months out of 1 yr warranty. The refrigerant system is warranted for 5 yrs. This was also right at the beginning of Covid 19 shutdown. Fields could not give us a appointment, due to shutdowns. So, I called a local company to fix it out of pocket. He discovered a leak in the coolant lines, fixed the leak and replaced the coolant ($453.61 on 4/9/20). Great, it works! About 3 weeks later, it stops cooling again. Called local service repairman out once more to see whats going on. He replaces a thermal bi metal sensor and well ahh! It works again ($100 on 4/28/2020).About 3 weeks after that, it stops working again! We are thinking by now, its a problem for Setzers, Whirlpool, and Fields. We call the local service repairman out to confirm and he states that the evaporator fan motor will need to be replaced, and that part replaces all sensors as well ($59.99 5/28/2020 service call). We call Setzers and schedule an appointment with Fields. First appointment we could get was 6/16/2020. Guy comes out, and cited a factory defect, per a technical bulletin he had, and relocated a sensor. Simple as that, he assured us it was fixed! Even though I pointed out it felt no cooler when he packed his things to leave. It did nothing! In the background Setzers (when they would call back) were supposedly working with Whirlpool to help fix the problem! Whirlpools reply was that since our repairman was not factory authorized, it completely voided our warranty! Explaining we had no choice, since Fields wouldnt come out and by now we are without a working refrigerator for 3 months, they could care less! Feeling totally frustrated, we call Fields again! On 6/19/2020, they send out another repairman. This guy came in, opened up the back, and immediately stated the refrigerant was overfilled. Didnt do any diagnostics, just told us that we were **, and walked away, without even putting the refrigerator back in place! Neither Fields rep hooked up a diagnostic tool to confirm any real issue, I guess they just knew! Total incompetence! So... As of now we have paid the local repairman ($448.33 on 6/26/2020) to order the evaporation fan motor and install it this coming Monday (7/20/2020). Total amount out of pocket at this point, $1053.90. It took that long to get here! Wish us luck! Setzers wiped their hands clean of the issue and told us to call Whirlpool. We did have not ever received callback.

It does a 20 minute daily wash which is good however the dryer part screws up everything you put into it and ironing, even with steam, makes no difference at all. The WORST part is the organisation DONT CARE. I wrote to the Chief Executive, Jeff Fettig, who neither acknowledged my complaint or responded to it. I made this complaint in October 2016 and STILL do not know what the outcome is. If you are reading this review I honestly would look elsewhere for a better machine. Try MIELE. They are expensive but 2000% better.

After that, Lowes replaced the complete burner assembly and that, so far, fixed the problem.Now, the second one has (1 Oct 11) gone out. The local Lowes told me that they are out of the burner assembly for this water heater. I called them this evening and was told that they didnt know when they would have the part, but to call back about every other day to see if they had received the burner assembly for this water heater. They said that it could be from two days to two weeks before they may receive this part!In 2008, I also purchased a 40 gal. Whirlpool Flame Lock water heater (Model: BFG1F4034T3NOV) for my house and no problems so far. In 2007, I even recommended that a friend of mine purchase and install one of these in a home that he owned. He did. I helped him install it and it later had the same problems! I am now needing a water heater for my workshop. What can I buy thats dependable?

A repair person from Advanced has been to our home 3 times, and A&E has been to our home twice already. Advanced came to our house on 04/23/12, 05/07/12 and 05/09/12. A&E came to our house on 05/09/12, and again today, 05/11/12.Finally the repair person from A&E said he needed to order parts which are supposed to be shipped to our house. At this point in time we have very little faith that Whirlpool or A&E will do the right thing and repair our machine. We do not understand how a company like Whirlpool keeps getting away with horrible customer service. Whirlpool is the only company we have found where you cannot get in touch with someone who can resolve your problem. Whirlpool told me today that since a repair person is already trying to resolve our problem, we have no choice but to wait until they repair it.

I have a Cabrio washer displaying the F-1 error code. I called on Thursday, the 15th of Sept. I spoke to Vicky in the Cleveland, TN division. She told me that the F-1 code on my machine (model no. WTW6600SW2 and serial no. **) was covered under a recall at no cost, parts or labor (I specifically asked this question). She set up a service repair ticket with Freds Appliance at 888-453-7337 and gave me the date. I was home waiting when they called. The driver drove in the drive and asked if he was there for my Jenn-Air cook top! I said no, the F-1 error code on the washer. He explained that he had just used the last control board last week and he changes them frequently. I called Whirlpool. A very snotty Ashley proceeded to tell me that nothing was covered and I would have to pay. I asked for a supervisor and Ratna answered after a hold of 45 minutes on my cell. I explained the situation. After begging, she proceeded to tell me that she would pay for parts only. I explained that the tech did not have the parts, didnt even know the correct appliance, and now I have to take another day off work to meet him to have my washer fixed. I have not used the washer in two weeks. I used to only buy Whirlpool products. After reading all the complaints about the same error code from other consumers, I believe there are enough complaints that we as consumers should be protected.

Cant get to the serial number because the door is locked shut as part of the shutdown problem. Cant find original receipt so including a picture of the credit card purchase. We saw the ads for this pair, the washer was the largest top loader at the time and didnt have the agitator (which I liked) so we bought them from Best Buy. I purchased the extended service plan (thank God) because we started having issues within the first month. First was the dryer, it was making a funny squeaking noise. We called to have it looked at and the tech said the drum was out of round. He ordered a new one and it showed up almost oblong. Returned it and got a second (same thing). We straightened it out and put it in. Two weeks later the control panel went out. Repaired it. Then the washer started. In the first 3 years of owning these we had called to repair the washer 4 times and the dryer 4 times. We could have got them replaced after the 5th call. Of course we had replaced all the faulty stuff and the pair settled down for 2 years.Now I have had to repair the washers control panel myself, the dryer sounds like it is coming apart and sometimes runs for hours, and now the washer cant wash in any cycle but delicate because the drum bangs around and cant self balance any more. What junk!!! I know people that have purchased low end machines and have had no issues for decades, maybe a random belt or something simple. I wouldnt buy another Whirlpool set if they were the last manufacturer on the planet. They should be ashamed that they didnt recall these things for all the problems they had.

They took my washer and gave me some off brand one, because I purchased a 5 year extended warranty. They kept my washer for over 3 months, saying that the manufacturer takes that long to get the parts in. Its ridiculous! The tub, seal, and some other parts had to be replaced. It was shredding my clothing and my bedding. The first time they fixed it, a couple days later, it started making a horrible noise. The repairman came out, and a part had fallen off inside, so he put it back on. It kept happening, so I called them back, and he taped the part on!About 2 months later, the seal started shredding, and so did my clothing. I called again, and they had to replace the seal again. It still sounds off balance, and they said that was normal, because of the give in the floor. The day they fixed the seal, I washed a childs sleeping bag, and it shredded it too! I called again, and they refused to replace it, and they want to come and look at it again. My dryer lint trap seal also keeps coming apart, and I have gone through 3 of those in less than 8 months. They said they are just made poorly, so it will keep happening. I just want my money back, and buy a different washer and dryer somewhere else. I had an old pair that I bought, used, and they lasted me 5 years with less problems than these that I paid two grand for.

I have researched and checked the other possible problems and it is unlikely that it is a defrost fail as there is no frost build-up in the freezer section. And, I checked the heater element and there is continuity through the element. If this does not fix the problem, I believe that there is one other possible solution. I am seeing on the internet there are many complaints about this and there was a recall? But they have run out of replacement parts??? Never received any recall notice. We have online instructions on how to repair and have done this many times and the rust comes back. About a week ago we sanded, primed and enamel painted the area plus I have put NO BLEACH in the dispenser and the rust is coming back. I hate to replace a working machine but this rust can and will get on my clothing. Whirlpool was the absolutely best in the past but this one is a lemon.

It said to disconnect the power for 1 minute and plug it back in, which I did. I repeated that process several times. Still nothing. It also said to call Whirlpool, which I did. They wanted the Model # WFW97HEXLO and Serial #, I gave it to the gal on the phone at Whirlpool. I was told it would be a week before they could get someone out there to take a look at it. Really!! I work 80 hours a week and live in the country. I dont have a week. When I asked where the service man was coming from, he was coming from another town. I asked if there was someone closer. She gave me another appliance stores phone number. They showed up 2 business days later, looked at my washer, verified the code along with the Model and Serial #s, telling me it was the control panel. I gave that information to them on a Friday, they showed up on a Tuesday. They knew what that code was and what it meant for that make and model washer, but there just had to be a service call in there. The part was ordered on that Tuesday... here it is the following Saturday and the part still isnt here. I do not understand what takes Whirlpool so long to ship the part. Do they not care that in this hustle bustle life we live in, we dont have time to wait for a part that may or may not show up. Ship it overnight. That is an option. Making the parts accessible to the service people in a timely manner would make great customer-service. Better yet, how about going back to the old-style washers. This high-efficiency non-sense is highly expensive.

Whirlpool duet steam model: WFW9750WW00Serial: CSY3601165Please see attached the pictures of our washer that was purchased without a top counter balance from HH Gregg in May of 2010. We were told by the extended warranty technician when he came to diagnose the machine on 6/24/13 that the bearing and basket were bad. He ordered the parts and returned on 7/2 to repair the machine. Upon taking it apart, he discovered the top counter balance was missing and was the reason that the bearing and other parts had failed. I will include pictures of the plastic that the counter balance should have been attached to. You can see there are no screw holes or scuffs on the plastic. It was suggested by one of the customer service agents, Kitty in TN, that we remove the counter balance. Per Kitty, Because had it come from the factory like that, it would have walked all over the laundry room and not worked right since the first day. Honestly, we have scuffs all over our walls and my husband just thought the legs needed adjusted or it wasnt sitting properly on the pedestal. We have never owned a front load washer, so we didnt know what to expect. The washer sits in a very tight space under the cabinets, but will walk in the middle of the floor especially before we installed the pedestal.The top counter balance was ordered on 7/2 and we were told it would arrive and be installed today. The technician called me at 10:55AM today and stated the package had not arrived. We are asking Whirlpool for a replacement washer as the one we purchased brand new came from the factory defective. We have been told a solid NO. Upon further inspection of the machine while taking pictures, I noticed that the bottom counter balance is cracked clear through as well. Im attaching pictures of that. I did speak with Laticia in MI. She was VERY nice and more empathetic than the other 6 or so people we have spoken with at Whirlpool customer service. She was professional, helpful and I hope who Whirlpool would want representing their company and brand.We feel Whirlpool sold us a faulty machine and they should replace it. We have been told by them that they are sending the parts as a GOODWILL gesture, and will have the parts installed. Now after the whole inside of it is shot and possibly the motor and boards, thats awesome. We are now an LG/Samsung family. This was our 3rd and last set of appliances from Whirlpool. When the rest of these die, we will replace with another brand. How sad that what once was a great company, and I grew up with my mom and grandma thinking there was no other brand to use beside Whirlpool, now we are left washerless for 3 weeks. They refuse to stand behind a mistake that was made in the factory. Ive read these are made in Germany. Maybe Whirlpool needs to bring jobs back to the US and improve their quality control.

Whirlpools response has been disgraceful, trying to blame the problem on faulty installation when thousands of people have had the same problem. Ignore ANY US companys product; their warranties are worthless and they repair, not replace. My next oven will be European because in Europe they have to automatically warranty for five years any consumer durable. Consumer Reports ratings are worthless since they dont include breakdown experience in the ratings. Never buy anything from Whirlpool. They sell rubbish and dont honor their own warranty. Check the BBB rating. My brand new double oven broke down the first time that I ran the self clean cycle. Whirlpools response was to claim that the cutout opening was 1/8 inch too narrow and therefore they would not honor the five year warranty that I had bought from them. This was a lie, as I verified the width and it was exactly that required. Others have had the same experience. Whirlpool also makes Maytag, Kitchenaid, Kenmore and Ikea.

I did love the three huge grates on top, one which is interchangeable with a flat grill. If it only worked it would be a decent range. The center oblong burner struggled to ignite in full from the beginning. Often, I light the thing with a grill lighter. But the thing that pisses me off more than anything is the F2 error that appears 70% of the time on the control panel when I am preheating the freaking oven. I am NOT replacing the control panel on a $400.00 range. What I have discovered is I can hit off my power at the main, not once, but 2-3xs and reset or over ride the damn thing. I read this F2 code is a common occurrence so I got to thinking, why? My conclusion is the heat from the oven is vented up & directly on the control board panel. Really now, whos bright idea was it to expose a control board to repeated temps of 350+? Hate this appliance. Next range will NOT be a new one, Im looking to replace this junk with something mom or grandma had that lasted decades, not a couple years. Shame on you Whirlpool for producing such low quality, disposable products. By the way, I just went through this with a new fridge so theres much to be desired with new appliances. Theyre junk, designed to fail.

As an opinion, Whirlpool seemed to set the standard for a quality appliance. Unfortunately, we failed miserably by buying this side-by-side fridge. Two unsolvable problems. First, the cold side door is extremely difficult to open. Ive tried ALL gasket lube methods and failed. Second, the stainless steel used on the front of the machine is obviously low grade that accepts magnets and is almost impossible to clean weekly without streaking. They were kind enough to provide us with their special cleaner {free} but it takes about an hour and a half to use for moderate success.The lady on the help desk listened but seemed rather cold and uninterested in the problems. At this point, we would be willing to pay the extra and go to a Kitchen Aid instead. Our advise is beware of these types of issues and get some kind of guarantee from your store when buying a WHIRLPOOL refrigerator. This is simply terrible.

Im very satisfied with the looks and performance of my Whirlpool dishwasher, it is quiet enough that I put it on to wash before going to bed. It is that quiet. Im not happy about the way it was installed, but that is no fault of the dishwasher or Whirlpool, it works great even though it sits kind of crooked in the cabinet. The dishes are always sparkling clean and dry when it is done washing.

Its 6.5 Yrs old, just out of extended warranty and cost me with the pedestal a total of 1250.00 when new. I explained that in the 6.5 since I have lived at this house where we spend all new Whirlpool Gold Appliances, half have now failed. Range Microwave, Dishwasher and now the 1250.00 front loader is dying a slow and agonizing death with a bearing failure. Just so everyone understands, the estimate is from an official Whirlpool repair service that was booked through the Whirlpool website. Other repair folks just would not bother to look at it when I told them I believe the bearing was going bad.The repair man that arrived was professional and on time. However, I had a hard time understanding how a 6.5 Yr old washing machine would be considered beyond economical repair by costing 1279.00 to repair. Labor was 250.00 which I thought was fair. Time, etc. But parts made up the difference in cost. So later in the day, I spoke to Whirlpool and they offered the equal new washer for what would seem an excellent price. About half off. Wow, I thought that sounded good. So I asked if my existing pedestal would work with the new washer and it did not and I would have to pay for one. Regardless if my old one was fine or not.So, they offered a discounted rate from new at another half off. Total approx 800.00. So, I asked the Whirlpool rep to hold on and I need to check with my wife if she wants the replacement. She uses it as much as I do and wanted her thoughts. She checked the model on the washer and pedestal and with the local Home improvement store, they have it on sale for both units (washer and pedestal) and its about 50.00 less?Consequently, I called Whirlpool back and explained that it does not move the needle to regain my trust as compensation on a 6 yr bearing failure, failed dishwasher and range microwave they offer what a distributor of their product can offer for less as a package? Really? I mean, the Home improvement store is not in the business to lose money. Now, I am having a hard time understanding my own failure to have trust in a brand I used to have with my previous house.My mom had an old Whirlpool washing machine that lasted 25 years before she and my dad gave it away. You know, the old white top loader they used to make back in the 70s. Sheet metal, made a racket and never broke? Oh yeah got the clothes clean too! I dont know what to make of it anymore. So, I will just wait till it dies and take my hard earned money and spend it on another brand in my next house which we are going to move to soon. Maybe I can feel nostalgic and find my moms old washer. Its probably washing someones rags right now and getting them clean. It must be 35 yrs old by now.I dont expect to get anything for free. Its out of warranty, so I need to deal with the consequences, but there are steps the other party can take to help remedy the situation. I think they tried and it was genuine but in my thoughts its just not enough when your local box store is offering the same. When you develop a brand to extend a message of trust in quality and value, you need to have quality and value all the time. I suggested they help with the costs on the parts. I would certainly pay for the labor. Parts cost little to the manufacturer. Unable to help that way. I thought it was cheaper for them too. Guess not. Its come to be a throw away washing machine at 6.5 yrs and I am Infinitely disappointed. I just want my washing machine to work as well as my mothers old one and have the possibility to fix once in a while when needed.

When I explained that my oven was less than lightly soiled (I rarely use it) and that I had run the cleaning cycle twice and none of the soil was affected. Apparently the company is aware of this problem and I believe customers should be made aware of it BEFORE purchasing. According to a quick google search, it is a widely known issue that Whirlpool has not addressed. We have never used abrasive cleaners, only wipes that are made for stainless appliances. We use them on all of our stainless appliances. The fridge is the only one that now has 10+ areas of pitting rust. It continues to spread! What the heck?Secondly, the ice maker stopped working at 16 months. First it was just the auger that stopped turning. Which was inconvenient but not the end of the world. It still produced ice, but we had to open the door and pull ice out instead of having it dispensed. Now it has stopped producing ice altogether. We had the repair guy out today. Apparently, the motor for the auger and the actual ice maker are not receiving power any longer. The certified tech said it was either the main control board or bad wiring somewhere from the control board to the ice maker.For a small fortune, we can try putting in a new board. If the new board doesnt work, we will then know it is a wiring issue. If it is a wiring issue, we will have paid for a new board that was not needed, and we are out of luck completely on the wiring issue. Part of the wiring is sealed within the freezer door. A new freezer door costs nearly as much as the fridge. Part of the wiring is sealed in the back of the fridge. It is impossible to open the seal without breaking the fridge, because the back is a sealed system. But it does keep our food cold. Just dont put anything the top shelf of the fridge because it will freeze. Thanks for the 1 year warranty Whirlpool! You timed it perfectly! What a joke.

Additional options are time setting, choice of warm, cold or warm/cold water settings. On light and medium loads it extracts almost all of the water; on heavier loads an extra dry spin does the job. In all the years that we have had it, it has required only one service call. The maintenance man told us that this model is the best in a series and he recommends that we hang on to it for as long as possible. We're very happy with it.

Even with the hottest water on the most heavy duty setting, regular dinner plates are not cleaned. The flatware holders that are set in the door (instead of free-standing in a rack) do not have adequate holes in the holders and are too far away from the limited jets to get adequate soap and water to cleanse the flatware. Even after rinsing all scraps off the plates and flatware, we find bits of food, gravy, or smudges on the plates and flatware - since its first usage. The manufacturer had the audacity to claim that was normal. Settings include delayed starting, heavy duty versus normal washing, and different types of drying. The heavy duty washing is definitely poor quality, and there seems to be no difference between any of the drying settings. The delayed start is nice. The physical layout of the prongs on the racks and the folding racks do not allow easy fit for most sizes of pots plus plates on the same bottom rack. I cannot put a 1 gallon pot level on the same rack as dinner plates. I must put it beside salad plates. Only small sauce pans fit neatly or cleanly beside dinner plates. Yet the external dimensions of this dishwasher are the same as the competitors standard size. Looks neat and is easy to clean. Also, the exterior does not show scratches. Actually, I cannot see where the exterior has any scratches. The service people were very little help. The Warranty said that after five (5) service calls the unit would be replaced. We made six (6) service calls, but we were told that we did NOT have six because if you called again within 90 days of a call, that was considered the same service call. That requires 450 days minimum to have five (5) qualified service calls, but that warranty was good for only 365 days!

Unfortunately, I can not rate this machine LESS than one star. I would rate it ZERO. We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine model WTW7800XW0, 2 1/2 years ago in 2011. Since that time, we have had nothing but trouble from this machine. The machine basket gets off center when you have heavy items in there like jeans or a large load of towels and just stops working until you raise the lid and even out the clothing in the basket. If you wash something like a throw or a set of sheets in it, they get all twisted and wrapped around the thing in the center and end up in a big mound. We have had the glass top lid replaced on this machine TWO times over the last 2 years because the plastic frame on the lid around the glass cracked and broke and became warped in a raised position. This caused the machine to stop working because the machine will not wash clothing unless the door is locked down, and the door cant lock if the lid is cracked and warped and broken. So you have to set something heavy on top of the lid to get the lid to lock so you can wash a load of clothing! TWO times we have had repair people out to our home to replace the lid and now the lid is cracked and broken again, for the THIRD time! This is THREE broken lids in just over 2 years. Unacceptable!! The hinges on the lid that attach the lid to the machine are also rusted. This rusting has happened on all the lids that we have had replaced in the last 2 years. I will never, NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product again, EVER. Their products are inferior quality and JUNK. We have the Whirlpool dryer also to match the junk washing machine and the quality is just as bad but we are living with it because we have no choice right now. It takes 2 hours to get a load of clothing dry and forget drying jeans or towels; it takes forever! Whirlpool makes a dreadful product and their customer service is even more dreadful. =(

Three visits from Technicians later, I finally received a call from a Whirlpool Supervisor, today approximately, 1:47pm CST! Her explanation was the following: The documentation from the so-called professional technicians stated there was no issues with the oven! Even though the oven is still not operational according to its specs! Theres even one part that is missing where Whirlpool ordered the wrong part, ac cording to the Technician. And, we never heard from that Technician again with respect to the followup on the missing part! The Supervisor I spoke with today ~1:47pm today, Dec 9, 2020, stated I was welcome to call again to place a warranty work order, but, if they dont find anything wrong with the oven, I would have to pay for the visit! This is ridiculous on many levels. I will be writing other reviews to influence the public not to purchase Whirlpool Ovens if this is the kind of Customer Service Orientation they will received. This is unacceptable Customer Service Orientation! I have a Whirlpool oven, where 3 techncians have serviced it, and, it still doesnt perform correctly! It still takes 30 minutes to cook a can of biscuits, and, they still required more time in the oven! Whirlpool states if the documentation from the technicians states the oven is working properly, then, Whirlpool cannot do anything for us - even though the oven is still under warranty! UNACCEPTABLE! I have followed the direction under the troubleshooting page which said to cancel and unplug the unit. After doing this over and over, I finally took the top lid off to inspect the problem. A ribbon cable was torn due to the top lid rubbing against the lid and the drum. I called Whirlpool and this was not covered (go figure). I then asked for the ribbon cable and they said they cannot just supply the ribbon cable and that I would have to buy the user interface which is $191 plus a $35 core fee because they re-bill them. What a rip off. A ribbon cable from a computer store would only cost $10.00. After that repair the Micro Machine control went out which is code F11. Code F11 is all over the web because this is a defective part that Whirlpool should do a recall on but why do that when they can charge $310 plus, get this another $35 core charge because they re-bill them? If you are not mechanically inclined with these parts plus labor you could have bought 2 washing machines. But who in the world would buy 2 pieces of junk right?Bottom line is: do your research and buy from a company that will stand behind their product because Whirlpool will not! They know by the number of parts they ship out that that part should be recalled.

I agree with all the unsatisfied customers with the Whirlpool Cabrio! Clothes do not come out clean! I called Whirlpool also and was told to be sure to place my clothes around the sides of the tub, which I always did. If Whirlpool was smart, they would take the complaints about the Cabrio and offer the customers a small amount of money towards purchasing another Whirlpool washer. I know I would have appreciated that. Instead Ill go out and buy another washer and not a Whirlpool. Even my kids dont want this washer and its practically new!

Against everyone but the HH Greggs salesmans advice, I purchased the extended warranty as I had paid a large sum of money for the refrigerator. Within a year, I began experiencing problems with the ice maker. Over the next few years, I had to have it repaired/replaced an additional three times. Add to the whole mess the incompetency of the A & E Repairmen that required at least two visits each time to complete a repair and their inability to arrive during a 9 hour window, I stayed livid about my refrigerator for three long years. Finally, I demanded a replacement refrigerator under the lemon portion of my warranty. After numerous arguments, the warranty company offered me several different makes and models to pick to replace my hunk of junk. Stupidly thinking that my problems were related to one bad unit, I selected another Whirlpool only to have it completely crash a little over one year after acquiring it. I lost the food in it and am having to wait almost a month for the parts to arrive and the repairman to return. According to him, it will have to be completely rebuilt. I will never, never buy another Whirlpool!

Im guessing the company that makes Whirlpool appliances no longer make dependable appliances… bought home 2 yrs. ago. Bought Whirlpool over stove microwave and expensive side by side fridge. After 1 yr. microwave stopped heating. Now my fridge is no longer cooling. Have cleaned it underneath, did all a normal person would do. I replaced my microwave last year with a Maytag. I’m sure I will have to replace the fridge very soon. My stove is a Maytag. Dishwasher a Frigidaire... have had no problem. Just the Whirlpools… Will never buy another Whirlpool. Not just me, my niece bought a microwave. Her stopped heating after one year.

After reading multiple other reviews on all brands available to American citizens, I have come to the realization that cheap labor and materials are creating massive appliance garbage in our country as well as financial rip off for us all. It needs to STOP! What has happened to doing things right!! What company is going to be the first to produce good refrigerators! Paid over $2000 for my side by side and it is only 5 years old and has a freon leak that cant be fixed. Repairman said will have to buy a new refrigerator. Pathetic!! Cheap manufacturing in foreign countries is killing our economy and our household finances. Be prepared to buy NOTHING that works! Yeah, thats what I work hard for and look forward to. Americans better wake up.

After 14 months, the ice maker broke. $200 later, it was repaired with an upgraded kit.Last week, the washer error coded and the door locked so we could not get out the wet clothes. Called customer (no) service and they advised that we needed to call a service tech because he has a special tool to unlock the door. I stopped by our local appliance store and the counter person told me how to open the door. Had the tech come out for $70 and it could be the lock mechanism or the control panel. It turns out to be the control panel, which costs $250 + labor and would total to around $500, give or take a little. We are in our 60s, my wife does not take in laundry and the ice dispenser was seldom used because I can sneeze ice faster than this can dispense it so I open the freezer door to get my ice.The tech and the store clerk said that these were common problems with these machines. This was a major expense when purchased. So far, the dish washer has not had any problems, but tonight might be the night. The reason we bought Whirlpool is because of the Maytag connection, now that is in the same toilet.

I purchased this Maytag clothes washer in 2007. So far Ive had to purchase and replace the front door 2 times. The current one now needs replacing. The plastic near the hinges disintegrates after about 2 years. This appears to be a manufacturing design defect. I have requested from Whirlpool to send me a replacement door for my washer. The part number is 34001178. The model number is MAH2400AWW. The Serial number is 14060452LE.I have spoke to four different levels of employees at Whirlpool after escalating the service request. Each time they have told me they are unable to send a replacement door to me, stating that the product is out of warranty. I realize that the washer is out of warranty but I believe this problem is a design flaw. The plastic near the top door hinge breaks down and cracks after 2 years of normal use. The last person I spoke with Michael (would not provide me with a last name) said to write to the Whirlpool corporate office with my complaint.
